We believe in self-sustainability. By working with partner projects that focus on income generating activities we can nurture independence and empower our ancestral communities towards self-sustainability. Our Cocoa production initiative is a vehicle to address the problems of poverty and food security through sustainable rural economic development. The project will complement and support the advancement of indigenous communities, by combining the available human capital, underutilized land, and a strong public-private sector alliance with NUTRESA, a recognized leader in the food-sector and an expert in the production of cocoa that champions sustainability.
The production and commercialization of organic cocoa seeks to work in harmony with the cultural practices and beliefs, while aiming to promote gender inclusion in all phases of the project, focusing on women participation.
